Who is Dom Santiago in E-Day?

Dom is Marcus Fenix’s best friend and the co-lead of the story — a young COG soldier caught in Kalona on the night the Locust emerge. Like Marcus, he starts the game in civilian clothes and gets thrown into the fight with nothing but a scavenged pistol. The Coalition has described the Marcus–Dom relationship as the reason E-Day exists: Emergence Day is the night that forged the partnership the whole series runs on.

What is Dom’s connection to Carlos and Maria?

Two names define Dom’s story:

• Carlos Santiago — Dom’s brother, who saved Marcus’s life during the Pendulum Wars. Carlos dies before E-Day’s events (his COG tags are literally the Collector’s Edition centerpiece), and honoring him is part of why Marcus fights beside Dom.
• Maria Santiago — Dom’s wife, in Ephyra when Emergence Day hits. Dom’s first question at the City Hall command post is about her — the beginning of a thread the series eventually pays off in the trilogy’s most infamous scene.

Carlos Ferro returns as Dom, opposite John DiMaggio’s Marcus — the same pairing as the original trilogy. The Coalition treated keeping both voices as essential to the prequel working at all.

Dom is the second member of Bravo Squad and your constant companion through the campaign — in co-op he is the natural Player 2 (the campaign supports up to 4 players online and 2-player split-screen on console).
